Preparation and Usage
Baking Method
Add 1 beaten egg, 1oz (28g) melted butter or vegetable oil, 200 mls buttermilk (or whole milk, soya milk or almond milk)
1. Preheat oven to 200ºC/400ºF/Gas 6
2. Whisk egg lightly in a bowl
3. Add melted butter and milk
4. Add the pack of Helen's scone mix and stir with a spoon until smooth and thickened
5. Spoon dessertspoonfuls of dough onto a greased or lined non-stick baking tray.
6. Bake for 12-15 minutes
7. Cool on a wire rack
Tip: For a different touch add half a grated apple or a fist of sultanas to the dough and brush the tops with beaten egg before baking.
Each pack makes 8-10 Scones

You need to add 1 beaten egg, 1oz (28g) melted butter or vegetable oil, 200ml buttermilk (or whole milk or soya milk).

Add melted butter and milk or buttermilk.
Add Helen's Brilliant Scone Mix and stir with a spoon until smooth & thickened.
Spoon dessertspoonfuls of dough onto a greased or lined non stick baking tray.
Bake for 12-15 minutes until light & golden.
Tip: For a special touch add half a grated apple or a fist of sultanas to the dough & sprinkle with soft brown sugar before baking.
