Bar Harbor New England Clam Chowder 425g
This is a fully cooked, condensed soup, which, when mixed with preferred milk-based product and heated to desired temperature, yields a creamy textured soup with visible clam meats and random-cut potato pieces. It contains wheat flour and butter, which with the clams gives it three of the eight USFDA allergens; milk, wheat and clams. The condensed soup may also be used as a sauce for a pizza by spreading the product directly from the container onto a prepared crust, adding pizza cheese and pre-cooked bacon; by cooking at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 12-15 minutes, it becomes a delicious ingredient as well as a stand-alone soup entree.
The product is fully cooked and needs no refrigeration until the container is opened, after which the contents are preservable in a sealed container, under refrigeration for approximately 4-5 days. The unopened container should be stored at temperatures above freezing and no higer thatn 93 degrees Fahrenheit for maximum quality and enjoyment.
Preparation and Usage
Fully cooked. Heat thoroughly in saucepan or microwave. Add butter and milk or cream to desired consistency, salt and pepper to taste. Garnish as desired. Store unused portion in airtight, non-metal container and refrigerate for up to 5 days.
